James is an experienced HCPC registered clinician who qualified from the University of Brighton in 2005. He has completed post graduate training in musculoskeletal medicine and paediatrics and is a Fellow in Podiatric Medicine at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow. James is also an experienced healthcare educator having trained podiatrists, physiotherapists, nurses, pharmacists and medics during his time as a senior lecturer at the University of Brighton where, amongst several roles over a ten-year period, James was the course lead for the non-medical prescribing programme for podiatrists. James is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and holds a Masters-in-Podiatry and Education which combines his interests in clinical practice and educational approaches to supporting clinical training and patient care. James has been an invited speaker internationally and has contributed to several national documents regarding policy, good practice and education in podiatry. Recently James has acted as a national adviser to government on healthcare policy and education. James also currently works for the Royal College of Podiatry as the Head of Education and Professional Practice working with the profession to develop practice through improved education and quality assurance. Outside of his professional role James enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, reading, running, and watching rugby.
